Why we picked this hotel
KaSeas has the character of a much older place because, underneath the polished rooms, it is one. The 1872 stone building, intimate scale and waterfront restaurant give the stay a sense of Mani that would be difficult to reproduce in a purpose-built resort.
Hotel description
In tiny Gerolimenas, KaSeas occupies an 1872 stone building that once served fishermen and merchants passing through this remote corner of Mani. Today, its 15 rooms and suites retain the building’s thick stone walls and timber ceilings, while balconies, terraces and the restaurant turn towards the remarkably clear water of the bay. The experience revolves around the sea. Have breakfast overlooking the harbour, swim in the sheltered bay, take the hotel boat along Mani’s caves and coastline, then return for a long dinner at Veludo as the village settles down for the evening. It is the kind of place where exploring Mani is tempting, but staying exactly where you are often wins.

Our take on the stay
KaSeas runs boat trips directly from its pier, including cave swims, snorkelling and longer journeys around Cape Tainaro. It is one of the best ways to understand just how dramatic this stretch of Mani is.
