WHY WE PICKED THIS HOTEL

You’re wrapped by water and walking paths, so the best parts of Brittany happen naturally: tide-watching, beach walks, and sunsets without planning anything.

HOTEL DESCRIPTION

Le Nessay is a château-style boutique hotel set on its own little peninsula in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, with the sea and beaches wrapped around it. It’s the kind of place where you can step outside and be on the coastal path within minutes, then come back to a warm, characterful base that feels calm even in peak season. The mood is relaxed and quietly special. There’s a restaurant and bar on-site, plus a small spa focused on treatments, with a sauna you can book privately. It’s ideal for slow beach days, long walks on the Emerald Coast, and evenings that end with a drink on the terrace while the light changes over the water.

Our take on the stay

Bob

Le Nessay feels like borrowing a château on its own strip of coastline. You wake up to sea views, wander the peninsula, then end up on the bar terrace for sunset without ever needing a plan.

HOTEL LOCATION

MORE INFORMATION

This is great

  • A romantic château-hotel on its own little peninsula in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, with the sea and tide-line shaping the mood all day

  • The atmosphere is “private house by the water”, not formal grand-hotel, with beautifully restored historic bones and warm, considered interiors

  • Everything is oriented to the coastline, so you’re always a few steps from a view, a terrace moment, or a walk along the GR34

  • A proper food-and-drink heart to the place, with the bar terrace doing the heavy lifting for slow afternoons and sunset drinks

  • Small wellness touches (sauna, steam, treatments) that make it feel complete without turning it into a spa resort
