Why we picked this hotel
This feels much closer to staying in a very good London house than an aparthotel. The studios give you independence, but breakfast downstairs, the garden and little weekly rituals make the building feel genuinely lived in.
Hotel description
Beside Regent’s Canal and the greenery of Primrose Hill, Mason & Fifth feels more like joining a particularly good London neighbourhood than checking into a hotel. Sixty private studios sit within restored heritage houses, while downstairs a generous kitchen, living room and secluded garden turn the communal spaces into places you actually want to spend time. Start with breakfast around the shared table, walk through Regent’s Park or follow the canal into Camden, then come home for yoga in the garden pavilion or a glass of wine with other guests on Friday evening. It is best for travellers who want independence without isolation, combining your own kitchenette and front door with just enough community to make London feel a little more local.
Hotel location

This is great
A guesthouse that feels like home
Sixty private studios sit inside a restored heritage building, with generous shared spaces for living, working and relaxing.
Primrose Hill is on the doorstep
Regent’s Park, the canal and Camden are all close enough to make this feel like a proper neighbourhood stay.
The garden is a proper escape
A secluded private garden gives you somewhere genuinely calm to read, work or spend a slow afternoon.
Yoga is built into the stay
The garden pavilion comes with mats, blocks and blankets, plus two programmed wellness classes each week.
Breakfast is refreshingly informal
A daily help-yourself breakfast bar in the communal kitchen keeps mornings relaxed and easy.
Wine Down Fridays are a nice touch
Complimentary wine is poured every Friday from 17:00, adding to the genuinely social feel of the house.
Our take on the stay
Primrose Hill and Regent’s Park are both only a few minutes away. I’d resist rushing straight into central London every morning because slow walks around this part of the city are one of the best reasons to stay here.
