Solo Palacio is a rural boutique and wellness retreat in Llanuces, in the mountains of Asturias, set inside a historic palace estate next to the Las Ubiñas-La Mesa natural park area. The whole place is designed around quiet, texture and simplicity, mixing old stone buildings with a calm, wabi-sabi inspired interior style. It feels remote and restorative, ideal for switching off and spending time in nature. The property is made up of 11 apartments, all unique and spacious, and many include features like fireplaces or freestanding bathtubs depending on the category. There is an outdoor infinity pool with valley views, plus a wellness circuit with a sauna and an outdoor heated jacuzzi. Food is served at the on-site bistro, with breakfast available daily, and dinner offered Thursday to Sunday evenings.
What I love about this place is how the wabi-sabi design lets nature take centre stage, rough stone walls, soft light and views that make every moment feel calm.
