Why we picked this hotel

This is not the hotel for stepping directly onto the Trevi Fountain. It is for travellers who would rather stay among neighbourhood cafés, circle Villa Borghese on a borrowed bicycle and return to a hotel that feels lively without becoming chaotic.

Hotel description

On the leafy edge of Parioli, The Hoxton brings a more playful kind of glamour to Rome. Beyond its dusky pink façade, marble floors, lacquered timber, sculptural lighting and vintage Italian furniture create the feeling of a stylish 1970s apartment block, with a busy lobby and garden terrace that draw as many locals as hotel guests. Mornings begin with espresso and pastries at Cugino before Villa Borghese and the Borghese Gallery draw you outside. Return for lunch beneath the trees, borrow a bicycle for a neighbourhood ride or stay downstairs as coffee gives way to aperitivo and dinner at Elio. This is a sociable city base for travellers who prefer Roman neighbourhood life, strong design and lively shared spaces to monument views and resort-style facilities.

Hotel location

This is great

Italian mid-century style with real personality
Bold colours, Murano glass lighting and vintage-inspired furniture create a hotel that feels unmistakably Roman. Warm, playful and effortlessly stylish, somewhere you'll genuinely want to spend time.

A quieter side of Rome
Set in leafy Pinciano, near Villa Borghese, you'll find neighbourhood cafés and local restaurants, while the historic centre is only a short taxi ride away.

Come for Elio, stay for Cugino
Elio serves generous Italian dishes in a lively setting, while Cugino is the place for excellent coffee, pastries and relaxed breakfasts.

Rooms made for slowing down
Comfortable beds, blackout curtains, Roberts radios and thoughtful details make the rooms feel inviting.

The lobby is part of the experience
Grab a coffee, settle in with a book or stay for an evening drink. The relaxed lobby is designed to be enjoyed, not just passed through.

Ideal for seeing a different side of the city
Experience a quieter, more local side of Rome, with Villa Borghese and the charming Coppedè district just moments away.

Our take on the stay

A little outside the tourist rush, The Hoxton brings Rome’s everyday beauty into focus, local, stylish, and quietly full of life.
