Why we picked this hotel
Motto stands out because it commits to a look and mood. It feels distinctive, memorable, and very un-generic for Vienna.
Hotel description
Hotel Motto is a stylish boutique hotel on Mariahilfer Straße in Vienna’s 6th district, right by the Neubaugasse (U3) stop. It’s a great base for exploring the city because you can walk to museums and neighbourhood spots easily, and the metro gets you into the historic centre fast. Inside, the vibe is warm and characterful, with a slightly Paris-meets-Vienna feel that makes it stand out from the usual city hotels. A big part of the experience is the food and drink upstairs at Chez Bernard, the hotel’s restaurant and bar. There’s also a dedicated wellness area with a sauna and steam bath, plus a small fitness room for a quick workout. One thing to note: the rooftop terrace is seasonal, so it’s not something you should promise year-round.
