Why we picked this hotel
The design is reason enough to notice Pulitzer, but the rooftop music, plant-filled Greenhouse and central location make it work just as well beyond the interiors.
Hotel description
Hotel Pulitzer Barcelona is a lively boutique stay just steps from Plaça de Catalunya, perfectly placed for exploring the city. Rooms by Lázaro Rosa-Violán Studio combine rich woods, patterned fabrics, turquoise-tiled bathrooms and contemporary furnishings, while selected categories add balconies or private planted terraces. The hotel has a distinctly social side, centred on The Greenhouse restaurant, the Lobby Bar and the sixth-floor La Terraza rooftop, where food, cocktails and regular DJ sessions run through the warmer months. There is now also an on-site gym, while in-room massages, a hidden breakfast garden and the extremely central location make it work well beyond its nightlife appeal.
Hotel location

This is great
Lázaro Rosa-Violán interiors
Rich woods, turquoise bathrooms, layered furnishings and art give the rooms and public spaces a distinctly Barcelona character.
A rooftop made for evenings
La Terraza pairs city views with cocktails, food and regular DJ sessions six floors above Bergara Street.
The Greenhouse garden restaurant
Mediterranean planting and natural light surround a hidden courtyard restaurant focused on seasonal vegetables, local produce and minimal-intervention wines.
Private terraces above the city
Signature Terrace rooms bring outdoor space into the stay, while the Pulitzer Suite adds a private solarium and outdoor shower.
Music is part of the hotel
The long-running #BuenasTardesPulitzer programme brings emerging artists and DJs to the rooftop from May through October.
Steps from Plaça Catalunya
Its Bergara Street address places guests between the old city and Eixample, with central Barcelona immediately outside.
Our take on the stay
The Greenhouse is hidden behind the hotel with its own outdoor patio, making lunch here feel unexpectedly removed from Plaça Catalunya outside.
